Window Shutters
In the past, the most common materials for manufacturing window shutters are PVC, extruded aluminium and wood. However, a more durable and lightweight alternative has emerged: profiled aluminium, filled with rigid polyurethane foam, which serves to improve the shutter’s overall performance.
The options are seemingly limitless. When utilised in a sandwich structure, polyurethane provides the necessary rigidity and dimensional stability at minimum weight. When the density is increased, the thickness of the comparatively expensive and energy-consuming aluminium sheet can be further reduced creating cost savings as well as helping to reduce the environmental impact of the window shutter.
Pearl Polyurethane offers a range of products to address current and future market needs from standard production lines to specialised needs such as higher densities or different reaction profiles.
